On behalf of our Toronto client, we are in search of an Assistant Property Manager who will oversee a mixed suburban office/retail/Industrial portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess 4+ years of industry related experience overseeing B-Class assets. Prior project coordination experience would be considered an asset.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General office administration and reception related duties
  • Up to date on property management standards such as regulatory requirements, compliance, safety standards and emergency response procedures
  • Review, prepare and execute building service contracts and oversee safety and security programs cleaning contracts and inspections of properties
  • Negotiate contracts relating to design and construction of renovations and upgrades of tenant facilities and common elements of the properties and monitor work progress and budgets
  • Monitor receivable and payable for the portfolio in conjunction with the accounting department and assist in corrective action where necessary
  • Arrears collection liaison
  • Oversee Construction projects including understanding/reading of drawings, permit process, regulations and governmental authorities having jurisdiction

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post secondary Education
  • Previous experience as property administrator, leasing coordinator or assistant property manager
  • Previous budgeting experience
  • Ability to read and interpret commercial leases and construction drawings
  • Prior experience coordinating projects and asset
  • Exceptional communication both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
